Networking in a different way

Under the motto „[Dilemma Digitalisation] E-Leader, ChiefDigitalOfficer or Business Punk? –new leadership types for the digital transformation with Prof. Dr. R. Zeichhardt“, BVMW invited participants to SPN in Nördlingen last Thursday. Even the location, the assembly hall of SPN Schwaben Präzision, was special. SPN, being the host, offered a special atmosphrere between workbenches, storage shelves and system working places, which was really inspiring! At first, Michael Heilig of BVMW welcomed the guests and led over to a special evening with his speech full of impulses. SPN´s Managing Director, Rainer Hertle, presented SPN Schwaben Präzision shortly during his welcoming, describing the visions and the project “SPN plant structure 2019”. The main part of the event was the speech by Prof. Dr. Rainer Zeichhardt of the Business School Berlin. He gave a different insight into the world of digitalization and commented on the subject from a different point of view. Which leadership types will there be in the future through digitalization? How do managers of tomorrow think and act? And what can companies do for this already now? During the subsequent “World Café” (workshop) the participants discussed the topic intensively. SPN´s Managing Director (Technical) Rainer Hertle was enthusiastic: “Prof. Zeichhardt has provided us with goods impulses. We have learned that digitalization does not only affect the technical aspect but also implicates changes in people in terms of behaviour and leadership. Many of the participants are already aware of the digital changes and the thus changing leadership types and deal with the consequences. Everyone knows that change will and has to come but nobody could imagine what this will look like. With this speech, Prof. Zeichhardt has given us an exciting outlook about how the work environment will develop in terms of leadership through digitalization.” After the workshop, the participants discussed a lot and networking was done. At the end of the event, SPN offered the guests of the BVMW a tour through the company.
