Immediately after the big “Hebauf” party on 28 July 2017, SPN continued without a break: the first machines moved into the new hall 4. One of the first machines which stood on their new place was the Richardon R300, on which the first gear wheel after the move was produced as soon as on 3 August. On 11 August – two days earlier than planned – alle 41 turning/milling and toothing machines had moved already. This is about half of the most important machines of SPN´s machine park. The Technical Managing Director, Rainer Hertle, has drawn a positive interim balance: “Until now, the move has been running smoothly and we make good time. We are very pleased about the fact that the external support works very well. The moving company Biedenbach works highly professional and very efficiently and also the external assemblers have done a good job. Furthermore, the team of Alexander Deffner (Head of Production) and Stefan Ohmüller (Head of Production Technology) has prepared the move excellently. All SPN employees have worked with great commitment and flexibility.” The training workshop will be the next department to move – from 28 August 2017 onwards. After that, the sampling/milling department will move into Fritz-Hopf-Straße. The departments grinding and quality assurance will be the last departments to move from Glashütter Straße to Fritz-Hopf-Straße, starting in the middle of September. At the end of September, all processing machines of SPN will finally be united in Fritz-Hopf-Straße. “2017 is an important year for SPN. We could go some seminal steps into the direction of a successful, modern and even more efficient SPN”, Rainer Hertle said pleased.
