Donations instead of gifts. SPN Schwaben Präzision also used the initiative in 2021 and gave up customer gifts at Christmas to support two organizations.
The year 2021 came to an end again. The second year in a row which was accompanied by the worldwide Corona pandemic.
The world has changed in this time: Home office and mask are part of everyday life and physical distance between people determines our behavior.
This makes it all the more important to show closeness and sympathy in a different way. Especially towards those who have it particularly hard in these special times. For this reason, SPN has once again dispensed with customer gifts in 2021 and instead supported the local community of Dernau in the Ahr Valley, which was affected by the flood disaster in mid-July, with a substantial donation of €2,500.00. About 90 percent of the citizens from the wine culture village have been affected and most of them have lost everything. Not only their home is destroyed, but their whole existence. We hope we could make a small contribution to the reconstruction through this financial support.
In addition, our own social heart project "SPN School in Tanzania" could be supported by the joint commitment with the Fritz and Lieselotte Hopf Foundation, as well as the association "Four Stones for Africa". As a result, the students were able to enjoy their own school bus. SPN Managing Director Rainer Hertle: "Seeing how our school in Tanzania is growing fills me with pure joy and gratitude. The team around Sister Gaspara is making such an important and valuable contribution. I am convinced that we are opening up a better perspective for the children through this educational opportunity."
An official opening ceremony was scheduled for February 23, 2022. However, a Corona warning was recently issued in Tanzania, which led to the postponement of this event.
