gear solutions for automation and robotics
swivel robot hand axis
GOOD TO KNOW
The kinematics of the swiveling manual axis correspond to those of axes 5 (swivel) and 6 (rotate) on an articulated robot. Each axis is driven by a separate motor and can be operated independently of each other. The swiveling manual axis can also be operated without an articulated robot and achieves a working range corresponding to a cylinder section. The special selection of gearing components and material pairing enables a torsional backlash of both axes of less than 1 arcmin torsional backlash over the entire service life
Your advantages
- Compact and encapsulated design
- Torsional backlash of less than 1 arcmin
- High rigidity due to the use of worm gear sets
- Can be used for robot axes 5 and 6 or independently
- Two input shafts for independent control of both axes
spn robot hand axis straight and angled
GOOD TO KNOW
This drive solution was developed for the last three axes of an articulated robot. However, it can also be used independently or in conjunction with a gantry robot for complex handling tasks. Each axis can be controlled independently and can therefore reach any point in a spherical work area.
Your advantages
- Absolutely backlash-free
- High rigidity
- Hollow shaft ø70 through gear axis for media feed-through
- Straight and angled version
- Can be used for robot axes 4, 5 and 6 or independently
- three input shafts ø20 to control the three axes
SPN stroke swivel unit HSE 20
GOOD TO KNOW
This SPN stroke swivel unit achieves very fast cycle times with high repeat accuracy. The gearbox is particularly suitable for transporting light or small components from their starting position to their specified destination. When developing the gearbox, care was taken to ensure that the intended transport distance can be covered with a minimum of time and a maximum of safety and precision.
Your advantages
- Very fast cycle times of less than 1 second can be achieved
- Very high repeat accuracy (less than 1 arcmin)
- Freely programmable lifting and rotating movement
- Rotary axis can be rotated indefinitely
- No restriction of interpolated movements of both axes
- Damped end stops of the stroke axis
spn swivel unit
GOOD TO KNOW
The SPN swivel unit is used to bring parts and tools into the correct machining position by clamping, tilting, depositing or rotating. In many cases, it is used in applications where precise repeat accuracy and tool positioning are required. The electromechanical drive offers a wider range of functions compared to a conventional pneumatic drive. The process air and process energy required to operate the systems is also saved.
Your advantages
- Precise positioning of different positions
- High holding torque
- Uniform torque over the entire angle of rotation
- Controlled acceleration and deceleration
- multiple speeds set-up operation / series operation
- self-locking
