SPN SCHWABEN PRÄZISION INVESTS IN HARD-FINE MACHINING

The Liebherr LCS 150 has been standing in the production halls of SPN since the end of last year. The newly purchased toothing grinding machine is supposed to fulfil our high requirements in the industrial production in terms of quality, productivity and reliability. The universal readiness  both for CNB and corundum tools is an essential advantage of this machine. Another advantage is that the machining processes generating grinding and profile grinding can be used individually and also combined. With its motor spindle, the grinding head provides speeds up to 12,000 min-1. The tool clamping active on both sides guarantees high rigidity on the tool. Thus, cutting speeds of 100 m/s during the generating grinding are possible without any problems. The newly developed ring loader with two stations makes workpiece change times of 5-7 s (depends on workpiece) and the timesaving loading and unloading in one movement possible. “The integrated device quick-change system and the optimally adapted automatic clamping devices make further savings in terms of set-up times possible,” Stefan Ohmüller, Head of Production Technology at SPN, said.
