Last Tuesday, 26 March 2019, SPN Schwaben Präzision welcomed a delegation of Norwegian entrepreneurs in their plant in Nördlingen. The visit took place under the motto of digitalisation and innovation. Furthermore, contact with the Chamber of Foreign Trade arose: SPN Schwaben Präzision is industrial partner in the digitalistion project SynDiQuAss. The project supported by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and the European Social Fund deals with the organisation of workplaces with a small automatisation level in the framework of the synchronisation of digitalisation, quality assurance and assistance systems. Being an industrial partner, SPN bears an important portion of the research work under the leadership of the university of Augsburg at the Technologie Transferzentrum in Nördlingen.
The Norwegian visitors, representatives of companies, who also take part in a supported project of the Norwegian economic promotion, the content of which is to support the digitalisation process of the participating companies, were glad about the experience reports of SPN about this topic. Comment“ The visit of SPN is a highlight of our educational trip through Germrany.“
After a short reception and company presentation done by the Commerical Managing Director Georg Jaumann, SPN´s project manager Hermann Klug – responsible at SPN amongst others for the topics digitalisation – gave a presenation about the SPN history, their know-how and brand values as well as about the consolidation of the SPN plants and the re-organisation of the production. He also explained how employees at SPN are integrated into projects and motivated the best way. It was very interesting for the visitors to see how sucessfull SPN put their suggestion scheme and their continuous improvement process into practice.
The event was finished with a tour through the company made by Alexander Deffner (Head of Produciton) and Jürgen Sieber (Head of Process Planning).
