During the first application meeting industiral gearboxes – organised by the Vogel publishing house in Würzburg – drive specialists met during different presentations. A networking meeting of high quality. Last Tuesday, also SPN´s product manager Simon Reiber held a presentation for around 80 visitors about the special topic of SPN „From experience: the way to custom-made gearboxes“ and won the attention of the visitors of the application meeting drive technology in Würzburg.
„With our presentation, we mainly wanted to show the added value of a customized gearbox and its possibilities compared to a standard gearbox. It was a positive side effect for us that we could promote our core competences at the same time when it comes to technical decision makers, “ Simon Reiber said.
The practice example was a planetary gearbox which was modified for an application in the food inudstry. It was the challenge to create a free of dead spaces hygiene design and the application conditions in S1 operation. Mr Reiber explained the different development steps up to the serial production.

Besides other diverse established speakers, e.g. of SEW-Eurodrive, Wittenstein alpha, Maxon Motor, Nabtesco, Neugart and ZAE Antriebssysteme, SPN also took the chance to promote their products on a small fair stand at the integrated trade fair. „This event was a good possibility not just to show our competence and our products to potential clients but also to talk to competitors, to learn from each other, to get inspired and to find the current drive technology trends,“ SPN sales manager Anton Lösch said.
