This year, the international trade fair Motek with its around 1,000 exhibitors has recorded approximately 35,000 visitors on the four fair days between 9 – 12 October. The worldwide leading fair in the fields of production and assembly automatization, taking place in Stuttgart, has slightly lost momentum in the past few years, which was also externally visible. In contrary to the previous years, SPN Schwaben Präzision did not have its own stand this year because, according to the external impression, the results of last year did not completely correspond to what SPN had hoped for from the Motek – in terms of both the total number of visitors and the business dynamics of the event as a whole. A little bit smaller than before, SPN felt to be “in good hands” at the common stand of Cluster Mechatronik & Automation this year, SPN´s Head of Sales, Anton Lösch, said. “Our host had the organization and the whole procedure during the fair days under control at any time. And also the number of visitors seems to have exceeded those of last year, at least according to our opinion.” According to Mr Lösch, we were lucky to be situated in the same hall – hall 8- as the Festo group, one of the main attractions of the Motek. “Of course, we could benefit from this.” Some of the main exhibits of SPN at the Motek presentation 2017 were the robot hand axis, the human-robot-collaboration screw spindle developed for Kuka, the „HSE“ lift-turn-gearbox as well as a special planetary gearbox and a bevel spur gearbox. These were all exhibits which Mr Rainer Hertle, Technical Managing Director at SPN, explained to the present trade journalists, also in the framework of the press day (Tuesday, 10 October), in terms of function and characteristics. The main attraction was, as last year, the robot hand axis! „Intensive discussions, mainly with existing clients in view of the coming year, rounded off the four-day event from our point of view,” Mr Hertle said.
